This song describes two very personal stories. The first one is about choices in life.
“Is not the way that you want but what you want on the way”.
The second is a real story that happened to me. More than 30 years ago in Madrid, someone told my high-school friends that I had died by heroin overdose. In reality, I moved from to Alicante and started my life as a musician. Now, decades later, we reconnected and laugh over my resurrection.
I walked down many streets
Oh yes it happened to me
Caught some bumps on the road
and that’s the way I learned
Sometimes I can hear the end
knocking on the front door
But let me tell you my friend, oh no
that’s not the way I should go
This is the time when I face my crime
This is the place to start over again
This is the sound that will make a spark
I shall live
Resurrection
I went away for some time
Some people took me for dead
The trip was bound to be long
‘cause I was tied to my bed
Not until I took my time could I understand
It’s not the way that you want
is what you want on the way
This is the time when I face my crime
This is the place to start over again
This is the sound that will make a spark
I shall live
Resurrection
I walked through many streets
Oh yes it happened to me
So now I’ve nothing to fear
‘cause I was born to be free
